God’s Simple Plan of Salvation

First, one must realize their inability to be “good enough” for heaven, and thereby their need for the Saviour:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)
“For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)

Second, one must realize that only Jesus provides the answer to this dilemma:
“…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
Salvation is through faith in Christ alone:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8, 9)

Third, one must act upon this knowledge of sin, and of Jesus being the only source of redemption:
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  (Romans 10:9)
“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the rigth to become children of God, to those who believe on His name.” (John 1:12)
“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

Sample prayer to trust Jesus as your Saviour:
“Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and I need a saviour. Right now I turn from my sin and accept you as my Lord and Saviour. I am trusting you and you alone for my salvation, believing that you died and rose again from the grave to pay for my sins. I thank you for saving me. Amen.”
